The hotel is very newly opened and most of the stuff are up to my expectation. The price is reasonable for its room type and cleanliness. I got a room facing the main road but given the fact that Malacca is a town, it was not as noisy as what others have described.
Unfortunately my room has a strange smell whenever I switched off the aircon when I leave the room. It goes away quite quickly but for those who are particular about smell, it might turn you off. The other thing is that the breakfast is really not good at all. But since you are in Malacca, you probably better off do breakfast in the Jonker Street. The shower head is placed behind the door and the whole area in the room becomes wet if you do not close the door properly. Lastly, the walk to Jonker Street is quite far, do choose a inn in Jonker Street area if you are not intending to walk too much.

I appreciated the functional-style building and very affordable and exceptionally clean room with bathtub and separate shower. The breakfast offered a wide array of cheap meals.

budget hotel, better than what I imagined it to be given the cheap room rates.
the room was facing the main road and very noisy at night. the showerhead was also placed at a weird location, right beside the bathroom door, with no curtain or separation.

Hotel staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were good value for price and a great location within walking distance from the old town.
Breakfast menu was a bit limited, there was very little western food, the coffee could do with some attention,

Friendly staff made my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was good with a selection of different dishes. The beddings and settings were clean overall and the location was convenient. There were places to explore right around the corner, with fresh fruit stalls and interesting local foods. The river right next to the hotel also give opportunities for relaxing walks. The various shops has unique historical flavour and it is close to major museums and restaurants in the city centre.
There were mosquitoes during the night which must have sneaked in through the bathroom window even though we turned on the air-conditioning. I got a couple bites and felt buzzing in my ears which woke me up around 6:15 am in the morning. It is possible to close the window but we did not realize this when we checked in. There was a brief black out one night, which was returned to normal after 5-10 minutes or so, though the internet did not work the next morning (ad we were not sure if that was related to the black out or something else). The bathroom design means that wearing rubber slippers would be preferable because of water outlet from the air-conditioner dripping onto the bathroom floor.

I've had a fine stay for a vacation. Everything was good, including very informative staff and strategic location down the river. Location: the hotel was right by historical sites are concentrated, Melaka, and the major attractions such as the Jonker walk. Bar Geographer Cafe located 1 mi away was a nice surprise.
